Corrosion can occur if water (salt water primarily) has come in contact with the connectors. This can cause bad or intermittent connection. The system connector of the battery needs to be handled with care, but you can clean them by following the steps below:
Wipe the connector completely dry.
Use an oxide remover cleaning agent. We recommend either Würth contact oil, WD-40 Special contact cleaner, CRC Electronic cleaner or Pure ISO propanol. Spray it on a clean cloth/tissue and wipe the connector. Do NOT spray remover directly on the battery connector.
To reach between the tubes, use a Q-tip/cotton bud and remove some of the cotton until you have a small enough point that fits the tubes. Dip the Q-tip in some cleaning agent and carefully insert it in the tubes to wipe off the oxide.
Please dispose of the cleaning material in accordance with local laws and regulations.
